Civil
Civil Engineers design infrastructures, structures and buildings. They are responsible for designing roads, dams, bridges, water supplies, sewage systems, and buildings.
Students in the Stemgineering Academy Civil classes learn about forces, loads, beams and trusses. They design, build and test bridges, towers and houses.
Mechanical
Mechanical Engineers work in the fields of aerospace, robotics, bio-mechanical and automobile. They design some of the most cutting edge technologies including rockets, jets, airplanes, the mars rover, robots, self-driving cars and prosthetics.
Students in the Stemgineering Academy Mechanical classes learn about simple machines, transmission, inertia, momentum and principles of buoyancy and flight. In the classes they design, build and test dragsters, rockets and prostheses.
Chemical
Chemical Engineers work in the fields of electronics, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, food processing, biotechnology and nanotechnology. They are responsible for designing petrochemical plants, biofuels, pharmaceuticals and biochemical processes.
Students in the Stemgineering Academy Chemical classes create experiments to test hypotheses by making ice cream.
Electrical
Electrical Engineers work with electronics, telecommunication, hardware, software, networking and security. They design electrical circuits, hardware, apps, software, robots and self-driving cars.
Students in the Stemgineering Academy Electrical classes design build and test circuits and automated systems using programming logic and sensing devices.
