BACKGROUND
Cindy Fleming is an Engineer, Entrepreneur and passionate Educator.
She holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston.
After working for years as an Engineer she transitioned into a career in teaching. She developed and taught an innovative STEM curriculum in the Round Rock ISD for 10 years, focusing on empowering students with hands-on projects to teach engineeringknowledge and skills. She was awarded the peer award "Teacher of the Year" and saw hundreds of students move on to pursue careers in engineering.
In 2017 she launched her current venture, STEMgineering, as an extra-curricular STEM academy designed to reach more students. Her academy provides engaging activities for middle school students showcasing what engineers do and how they affect the world, so students will have a clear understanding of engineering careers available.
Her vision is to build STEMgineering into a global franchise, providing teaching opportunities and skill-based learning for students around the world.
